YOUTH MINISTRY

The Youth Ministry of PBBC seeks to provide Christ-centered programs and opportunities for young people in grades 6-12.  We encourage spiritual and personal growth through activities based on an awareness of, and fellowship with Christ.  Youth ministry activities are open to all youth regardless of their church membership.

Weekly Youth Opportunities:
Sunday School (Sundays at 9:45 a.m.)- A class for 6th -12th graders.

Tuesdays 5:00 p.m.

MUSIC MINISTRY

The Music Ministry at PBBC provides opportunities for choral singing, soloists, and ensembles. Whether your taste includes classical, contemporary,  Southern gospel, or Bluegrass gospel, we perform and enjoy it all. There is a strong appreciation of traditional hymnody, and the musical accompaniment is always excellent. The Minister of Music is Rev. George Hearn.

The Sanctuary Choir meets on Wednesday evening at 7:00 to rehearse, and performs in each worship service. In addition, the choir prepares special services for holiday periods.

Our organist is Mr. Peter Ramsey, a published musician who composes and arranges music and who also teaches piano and organ. His primary instrument is a two division, twenty-nine rank pipe organ built in 1991 by
Wick’s Organ Company. The design incorporates components from the original Philcher organ, which had graced the sanctuary since 1941. Mr. Ramsey also accompanies the choir on 1976 harpsichord of his own making, from time to time.

SENIOR ADULTS & CD MINISTRY

Senior adults normally meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 10:30 a.m.  They also participate in the Henry County Baptist Association Senior Adult meetings and activities.  In addition they sponsor day trips to various attractions and events.

 SHAWL MINISTRY

The Prayer Shawl Ministry is an inspiring movement of people who gather
to pray and knit or crochet
for those in need.
The ministry’s sole purpose is to give away the shawls they create—
Shawls they hope will literally wrap
recipients in prayer.

We pray over each shawl from
beginning to end, then pass
them on to a special person in need. (Nursing Homes, Harmony Hall,
and Sick & Shut-ins)

Come join our ministry and watch God’s love unfold and be put to action.

Shawl Ministry meets the first Tuesday of each month at 12:45 p.m.
